Terms of Use

Last updated: 30 July 2026

This covers the Walclize waitlist at this early, pre-launch stage — there is no marketplace, no bookings, and no payments live yet. These terms will be replaced with a fuller agreement once the product itself launches.

Plain-language summary

Right now, Walclize is a waitlist, not a marketplace. Submitting the signup form doesn't create an account, doesn't cost anything, and doesn't obligate you to anything. These terms exist mainly to be upfront about what the waitlist is, what we do with your submission, and the basic rules for using this website. Everything below is the detail behind that.

01 Who you're agreeing with

These Terms of Use are between you and Walclize ("we", "us"), the operator of this website and waitlist. By submitting the signup form or otherwise using this site, you agree to these terms.

02 What this site currently is

This website is a pre-launch waitlist for a planned service that will connect travellers with locals for informal, paid social outings. That service does not exist yet. Nothing on this site is a booking, an offer, a guarantee of launch, or a contract to provide or receive any service. Joining the waitlist means we have your email and will contact you if and when we launch in your city — nothing more.

03 Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to join the waitlist. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone younger, and if we learn that we have, we'll delete it.

04 Using this site

You agree not to:

  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information through the signup form
  • Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to submit signups at scale
  • Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorised access to the site or the systems behind it
  • Use the site for any unlawful purpose

We may remove waitlist entries that appear to violate these rules, and may block access to the site for anyone who does.

05 No guarantee of launch or availability

Joining the waitlist doesn't guarantee that Walclize will launch, that it will launch in your city, or that it will launch on any particular timeline. We're building this based on real interest and real supply, and city order depends on that — described further on the site itself. We may change, delay, or discontinue the planned service at any time, for any reason.

06 Intellectual property

The Walclize name, logo, and the content, design, and code of this website belong to us or our licensors. You're welcome to look at it, share a link to it, or tell your friends about it — you're not licensed to copy, reproduce, or repurpose the site's design or content for your own use.

07 Your data

How we collect, use, and store the information you submit is covered separately in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. In short: we collect only what the signup form asks for, we use it only to contact you about launch, and we don't sell it.

08 "As is", no warranty

This site is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, though we take reasonable steps to keep it that way.

09 Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Walclize isn't liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this site or the waitlist. Since no service is currently being provided or booked through this site, our practical exposure here is limited — but we state this plainly regardless.

10 Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the site and product evolve — most significantly, once the actual marketplace launches and there's a real service, real bookings, and real payments to govern. When that happens, we'll publish a materially updated version here and change the "last updated" date above, and we won't apply significant new obligations retroactively to your existing waitlist entry without telling you.

11 Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Walclize operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. This section will be filled in with a specific jurisdiction once the company's home base is finalised.
