We collect the email address, city, and which side (traveller or local) you enter in the signup form. That's it — no passwords, no payment details, no tracking cookies, no analytics pixels. We use it for exactly one thing: emailing you when Walclize opens near you. Everything below is the detail behind that sentence.
01 Who is responsible for your data
Walclize ("we", "us") is the data controller for the information collected through this waitlist. If you're in the EU or UK, this means we're the party responsible for how your data is handled under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

We do not collect your name, phone number, location coordinates, device identifiers, or any payment information at this stage. There are no cookies and no third-party analytics or advertising trackers on this page.
03 How your data actually flows
We think this is worth spelling out plainly rather than in legal abstractions:
- You submit the form. Your browser sends it to
/api/subscribe, a small server function running on Vercel (our hosting provider). - That function checks the submission looks valid, then forwards it to a private Google Sheet that only we have access to.
- Your data is stored in that Sheet. Nowhere else. We don't sync it to ad platforms, data brokers, or marketing suites at this stage.
Vercel and Google act as our data processors — infrastructure providers handling data on our instruction, not on their own behalf. Their own privacy policies govern the infrastructure layer (servers, backups); ours governs what we do with your data on top of it.
04 Legal basis for processing
We process your email and city on the basis of your consent — you tick a box and submit the form. You can withdraw that consent at any time (see Section 7), and we'll stop emailing you and delete your entry.
05 How long we keep it
We keep waitlist entries until either: your city opens and the launch campaign concludes, or 18 months pass with no activity from you, whichever comes first — after which we delete the entry. You can ask us to delete it sooner, at any time, for any reason.
06 Who we share it with
Nobody, beyond the infrastructure providers named in Section 3. We do not sell, rent, or trade your data. If we ever integrate a dedicated email tool (like Brevo or Kit) to send the launch announcement, your entry moves there under the same terms, and this policy will be updated first.
07 Your rights
If GDPR or a similar law applies to you, you can ask us to:
- Access — see exactly what we hold about you
- Correct — fix a wrong email or city
- Delete — remove your entry entirely
- Withdraw consent — same effect as deletion, going forward

08 International transfers
Vercel and Google operate global infrastructure, which may process or back up data outside your country, including in the United States. Both provide standard contractual safeguards for cross-border transfer under GDPR.
09 Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially — for example, once the full marketplace launches and we start handling bookings and payments — we'll post the update here and change the "last updated" date above. We won't quietly expand what we do with data already collected under this version.
